Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her performance in films and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She has received various awards, including the Golden Globe Award, and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. In the film and television industry, she is known for her many nominations and awards. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and raised at home in New York New York. When Bassett was five years old, she and her sister were moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother, who was been divorced from her father. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play when she was at high school and decided that she was an actor and wanted to do. Yale University New Haven Connecticut, where she received her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). She was introduced to Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in the year 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading roles as Ramonda in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
